Where does the procedure take place?
Your BodyTite procedure takes place at our AAAASF-accredited San Mateo Surgery Center. Our outpatient surgery center is equipped with the latest cutting-edge technologies and led by an exceptionally talented team of cosmetic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses. We ensure you have a safe, comfortable, and effective procedure without complications or extended downtime.
What can I expect during BodyTite?
During the BodyTite procedure, the cosmetic doctor will deliver local anesthesia and epinephrine into the targeted areas. The anesthesia ensures comfort, and the epinephrine decreases bleeding. The BodyTite device consists of two probs — one goes under the skin in the targeted area via an incision, and the other goes over the skin. The BodyTite device is activated to generate radiofrequency energy, and the probes are moved back and forth over the treatment area. The fat tissues and liquified, and a separate tube suctions away the liquified fat cells. Meanwhile, the radiofrequency energy also activates collagen production to gradually tighten the skin tissues.
What can I expect after BodyTite?
You’ll experience mild swelling and bruising after the BodyTite procedure, and you’ll have to wear compression garments for a few days. However, you can resume most of your daily activities and work within a few days; some patients can resume work within 48 hours.
What kind of results can I expect?
The fat reduction results are instantly visible because the unwanted fat cells are liquified and removed from the body. However, the skin tightening results appear gradually over several weeks or months as your body produces new skin cells. The results start appearing within 2 weeks, but the fine results appear after 3 to 6 months. Most patients experience around 47% skin contraction.
