2012 Annual Statistics infographic

According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) there were 14.6 million cosmetic plastic surgery procedures performed in the United States in 2012. This infographic highlights the rise in plastic surgery procedures since 2000, a 98% increase in procedures performed, and indicates that facial procedures saw the most growth in 2012. Botox and fillers were the top 2 minimally invasive procedures performed in 2012 – and we must say, we are not surprised! These days people are seeking out less invasive facial procedures to hold onto their youth, and these dermal fillers are the way to go. With the rise of social media, people are feeling more compelled to keep up their physical appearance. Do you think social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram have anything to do with the rise in facial plastic surgery procedures?
