Elite MPX laser technology allows our team to administer treatment designed specifically for your needs, with the touch of a button. Treatment with the Elite MPX is quick, safe and minimally uncomfortable; many patients describe a feeling similar to a light pinching. The workstation is equipped with special built-in skin cooling technology for enhanced patient comfort.

Laser Hair Removal

The Elite MPX makes it possible for our team to remove unwanted hair from any area of the body on all skin types. We can set the laser to the 1064 Nd:YAG wavelength for dark skin colors, or switch it to the Alexandrite wavelength for lighter skin types. The hand piece emits gentle pulses of energy through the skin to the hair follicle, destroying it. Results are usually visible after one appointment, but a series of treatments is recommended for optimal outcomes.

Laser Vein Removal

The Elite MPX laser also allows our team to remove spider veins on the face and legs. The hand piece delivers laser energy to the blood vessel, and hemoglobin absorbs the laser beam. This creates heat that destroys the blood vessel from the inside, causing it to disappear. Our team is often able to eliminate visibility of blood vessels at the time of treatment. Because the laser beam is so tiny, it leaves the surrounding tissue unaffected.

Laser Facials and Skin Rejuvenation

Dr. Liu and his team are also able to perform anti-aging treatments with the Elite MPX laser. Its Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) capabilities can be customized to improve the appearance of:

Brown spots
Areas of redness
Rosacea
Benign areas of sun damage
Age spots on the hands or chest
Overall skin texture

The laser stimulates the production of collagen for an overall improvement in the skin’s appearance.

Recuperation

Recuperation following treatment with the Elite MPX laser is minimal. Our San Francisco / San Mateo laser hair removal, laser vein removal and IPL patients undergo treatment within a few minutes and may return to work and/or other activities immediately.
